Q. What's included?

Q. What's not included?
A. Additional services and rates:
GST. Goods and Service Tax of 3%.This will be added to your invoice total.
Infant Seats 0 - 13kg: £3.00 per day
Baby seats 9 - 36 kg: £3.00 per day
Booster seats 15 - 36 kg: £1.00 per day
Additional driver(s)- £2.00 Per Day Per Driver
Excess waiver (to waiver mandatory excess)- £5.00 / £6.00 / £7.50 / £10.00 Per Day depending on the group of car hired
Fuel - Every vehicle is filled with £5.00 worth of fuel which is charged. The customer is asked to leave the car empty on return
Q. Should I take out Cancellation Protection when booking?
A. Cancellation Protection is available for just 1-3 days £5.00 4 days and over £10.00. If you purchase Cancellation Protection at time of booking and you are unable to honour your booking prior to the collection date, Avis Jersey will refund all charges except the cancellation protection portion.
Without Cancellation Protection, the following refunds will apply:
28 days before start date of hire 50% refund
7-28 days before start date of hire 25% refund
0-7 days before start date of hire No refund
No refunds will be given for rentals ended early, late collections, no shows or cancellations made after the rental start date even if Cancellation Protection has been purchased.
Q. What's the maximum period of rental?
A. There is no minimum or maximum rental period. Rental periods
of less than 24 hours are charged at the applicable 1 day rate.
We do however allow a 3 hour "grace period" before an extra day's
charge is made. If you wish to extend the rental period after collection
of the car, or if you return the car late, you will be charged the relevant rate.
Q. What are the age restrictions?
A. The following age restrictions apply:
Groups 1, A, B, C, F & J - minimum driver age 20 years (full licence for minimum 1 year)
Groups D & E - minimum driver age 23 years (full licence for minimum 1 year)
Groups G, N & O minimum driver age 25 years (full license for minimum 1 year)
All Groups - Avis do not have a maximum age limit.
Q. Are fuel charges included?
A. Fuel charges are not included in our inclusive rates.
All vehicles are supplied with £5.00 worth of fuel
Q. Will I get my choice of vehicle?
A. Whilst we note your preference of vehicle type which
we will endeavour to supply we cannot guarantee a particular
make or model of car. You may be given an alternative
similar or upgrade car at no extra cost.
Q. Will I need to bring my driving licence?
A. To hire a car in Jersey it is imperative that you remember to
bring your original driving licence. If you have any serious endorsements on your licence
this may affect your right to hire and therefore
we suggest that you advise us in advance.
Q. Can I take the vehicle off the island?
A. It is not possible to take any rental vehicle off the island, they can only be used in Jersey.
